Classic Chianti wine tasting experience at Tenute Squarcialupi La Castellina

Welcome to the heart of Chianti at Fattoria La Castellina, which draws its origins from the important noble past of the Squarcialupi estate. Today it is owned by the Bojola-Targioni family, who with great commitment and passion have transformed the winemaking reality of the company by introducing innovative techniques while respecting the Chianti traditions. The farm has an extension of about 140 hectares, 30 of which are vineyards and 10 are olive groves.

With this itinerary you will discover the historic cellars of Palazzo Squarcialupi dating back to the 15th century. There will be a brief history of the company with an explanation of the main production processes. This will be followed by a guided tasting of the wonderful wines of the winery, accompanied by appetizers prepared by the Chef of the restaurant Taverna Squarcialupi.

You will have the possibility to choose between 2 different tasting sessions:
-Black Rooster Tasting: Chianti Classico DOCG "Cosimo Bojola," aged with the skins in terracotta jars, Chianti Classico DOCG Squarcialupi, Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva, Chianti Classico DOCG "Tommaso Bojola," late harvest.
-Tasting of Fine Wines: 4 tastings of the winery's top range (Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione, Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva "Tommaso Bojola" long ageing, Toscana Rosso IGT "Reale" from partially dried grapes, Maremma Toscana DOC "Il Nero")
