Wine Tasting for Two with the Sommelier at Wine Institute in Prague

Your tasting for two takes place at the Wine Institute, an education center in Prague’s Vršovice district. You will be welcomed by sommelier Michael Karlík, who brings over 30 years of experience to the table, having led more than 400 courses and 1,200 tastings.
This is a private and relaxed experience, with no rushed group program. Michael will guide you through a tasting of seven wines, served as 100 ml samples, allowing you to proceed at your own pace. He introduces each wine, explaining its origin, grape variety, and style.
The selection is tailored to the season, availability, and your preferences, with a focus on Czech wines from Moravia, often complemented by labels from other Central European regions. A typical tasting might include a peppery Grüner Veltliner, a mineral Riesling, an aromatic Pálava or Traminer, a dry rosé, an elegant Pinot Noir, a medium-bodied Frankovka (Blaufränkisch), and a barrel-aged red like Cabernet Moravia.
