Paolo, the host of the tour, young winemaker of sicily, is very kind and passionate. He clearly knows what he wants to make, and he's making it happen. They kindly explain the wines even during the tasting, and give us plenty of time to enjoy.

This winery was unexpected modern in its design and production methods but the wines were old world fantastic - exactly what you would expect from such a passionate young winemaker - he is in love with the land and his people and wants to encourage the young of Sicily to stay and find their future in Sicily / his wines are exquisite- we looked into shipping but the shipping costs prohibitive so we took what we could carry -

Cancelled last minute

As I was leaving, even though we had booked and it was approved, I whatsapp the vineyard and cancelled on me. It left us without any plans for the day. Althought they proposed another time, it was so late during the day that it would have needed us to cancelled our restaurant reservation.

we are sorry for the inconvenience. The booking you made on the same day was unfortunately automatically confirmed by our system. In addition, we had received a reservation request from the property where you were staying, which was later cancelled by you, as communicated to us by the concierge.
Since we had no other tours scheduled that day, we were carrying out some work in the winery. As soon as we realized the situation, we contacted you immediately and, since the booking had already been paid for, we felt it was only right to issue an immediate refund.

Über das Weingut und die Weine

Die Azienda Agricola Vella, die 1970 in Sant'Angelo Muxaro (Agrigento) gegründet wurde, entstand aus der Leidenschaft für den Weinanbau von Nonno Paolo.
