Il ragazzo che ci ha illustrato le varie tipologie di vino che abbiamo assaggiato era veramente gentilissimo e alla mano. Siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi. Anche la location carinissima.

Über das Weingut und die Weine
Castello di Bossi is located in the center of the estate, in the southern part of Chianti Classico, in the commune of Castelnuovo Berardenga.The first tower was built around 1099, then in 1450 it became a defensive quadrilateral. It extends on 500 hectares of land of which 120 are cultivated as vineyards. The average altitude of vineyards is about 350 meters above sea level and their exposure rotates from south-east to west.
The three main grapes are Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Sangiovese from Castelnuovo Berardenga, as opposed to other areas of Chianti Classico, has a higher phenolic and tannic ripeness because of the mitigated climate. Cabernet and Merlot were among the first ones planted in Chianti Classico about 40 years ago. The predominant soils are tuff, yellow clays, silty sands and broken stone.
