The Cité des Climats et Vins de Bourgogne offers a unique experience in the heart of the Burgundy vineyard, showcasing the historical and cultural significance of this globally renowned wine region. Towering towards the sky, a strikingly modern press screw sculpture rises above the Cité in Mâcon, acting as a beacon visible to boaters on the Saône, motorists on nearby roads, and cyclists on the Voie Bleue Moselle-Saône à Vélo. Located just steps from the historic center, the Cité connects with its vibrant cultural district and the city as a whole.
Focusing on the vineyards of southern Burgundy, the Cité in Mâcon highlights the history and characteristics of the Mâconnais, Côte Chalonnaise, and Côtes du Couchois wine regions. This ticket includes a tasting of either a glass of wine or grape juice. Additionally, a dedicated route for children runs alongside the main tour, offering a tailored experience for younger visitors.
