This exciting Euganean Hills wine tour will take you on a discovery of these hills of volcanic origin that rise to heights ranging from 300 to 600 m from the Paduan-Venetian plain.
This half day trip is a short train ride from Venice, where you will get to know the more rural and crowd free part of the region. An ideal trip to discover more authentic spots, meet the locals and connect with nature.
You will reach the heart of the Euganean Hills Regional Park to discover the best wine production in the area, thanks to a visit to two renowned wineries in the Euganean territory. In the Euganean lands, in fact, the particularly rich volcanic soil and the good climate allow the cultivation of various grape varieties. Among white wines for example, you will find Serprino (biotype of the Glera grape variety) which we can say is the "volcanic" version of Prosecco; Pinot Bianco; Garganega, Chardonnay, and finally Manzoni. At the same time, wines such as Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Carmènere have found their place among the local reds.
At each winery, you'll enjoy a tasting of at least 4 wines. At one of them, you will also enjoy a guided walk through the vineyards and a guided tour of the cooperage. Throughout the experience, you will listen to the knowledgeable storytelling of the winemakers who will guide you through the tasting to capture all the expressions of their best wines.

Meeting Point: You will travel from Venice S. Lucia Station to Terme-Euganee-Montegrotto Station by train, independently. You will meet the tour leader at the Terme-Euganee-Montegrotto station.
