L'Azienda Agricola de la famille Valentini Bocale a été fondée à Fratta Alzatura, à Montefalco, près de Madonna della Stella, une région connue pour son sanctuaire et pour la grande qualité de ses produits agricoles. A six kilomètres du centre de Montefalco (PG), situé sur une colline qui domine la vallée de Spoleto, à environ 473 mètres d'altitude, il offre une belle vue sur ce qui a été appelé à juste titre le "Balcon de l'Ombrie". Montefalco, trésor du peintre florentin Benozzo Gozzoli (conservé dans l'église - Musée de San Francisco), s'identifie à l'ancien Mons Faliscus, détruit pendant les guerres civiles du Ier siècle avant J.-C. et nommé dans le Moyen-Âge "Coccorone". La zone a été détruite par les milices de l'empereur Frédéric II, qui est arrivé vers 1249. Elle devint ensuite une commune en pleine expansion et prit le nom actuel de Montefalco, inspiré par l'empereur qui pratiquait la fauconnerie. En 1329, le pape Jean XXII entreprit la construction d'une forteresse que la famille Trinci de Foligno abattit au XVe siècle, après avoir temporairement dominé Montefalco. Elle revint sous le domaine de l'Église et devint une ville indépendante en 1848 par Pie IX.

MONTEFALCO ROSSO Montefalco Rosso is a typical Umbrian wine with great versatility, which can match the complexity of a great wine with freshness and drinkability. It’s made mostly from the grapes of Sangiovese with a small percentage of Sagrantino, Merlot and Colorino. An ideal companion for a wide variety of dishes. MONTEFALCO SAGRANTINO PASSITO Made exclusively from grapes of the native Sagrantino, this wine combines perfectly the aromatic expressiveness and structural elegance. Of great character and personality. The quantity is very limited and the bottles are numbered. TREBBIANO SPOLETINO A wine obtained exclusively by grapes from the authochthonous vine of Trebbiano Spoletino, a wine of great elegance, seasonings and evolutionary capacity.
