Estate 2014

Ho visitato la masseria nell'estate del 2014. luogo affascinate e incantevole. E' possibile visitare il frantoio ipogeo e la bottaia. Inoltre abbiamo degustato vini e olio ottimi!!! Da visitare!!!

Cantina e Vini

The winemaking tradition dates back to the 1940s, a period in which, conforming to the criteria of the time, wine was produced in large quantities to be sold "in tanks". At the end of the 90s a project was started which aimed at the production of quality wines. After an onerous preparation of the soil with careful analysis of the geological characteristics, excavations, crushing and grinding, about 20 hectares of vineyards of the cultivars: Negroamaro , Primitivo , Malvasia Nera , Malvasia Bianca Antica , Susumaniello were planted.; over the years a search for autochthonous varieties by now extinct has been started which has led to new experimental plants and a real ampelographic collection of Salento. A barrel cellar was built next to the underground oil mill, for aging the wines, according to the architectural tradition of Salento with barrel and star vaults using local materials such as Lecce stone and carparo, obtaining, according to many Italian and foreign visitors, a real and its own “cathedral of wine”.

We have replanted new vineyards, we have saved the old Negroamaro saplings from abandonment and explanting, we have sought the uniqueness of the Salento territory in its rosé vocation and enhancing ancient native vines such as Negroamaro , witness of belonging to the Grecìa Salentina , the Malvasia Nera , the Malvasia Bianca Antica , the Susumaniello and Primitivo . The utmost respect for the landscape, designed by the culture and tradition of our people and the practice of clean and sustainable agriculture often contrary to the greedy logic of the market are objectives that we pursue every day.
