Tuscan Lunch & Wine Tasting at Fattoria Sant'Appiano in Chianti
Here is what's in store for you
A dedicated host from the Fattoria Sant'Appiano hospitality team will welcome you and guide your private group for the entire experience. Your visit begins with a tour of the historic cellar, carved directly into the local tuff rock, where you'll learn about the estate's winemaking process as you see the oak barrels where the wines mature.
After the tour, you'll move on to a guided tasting of five of the estate's wines: a sparkling wine, a fresh white or rosé, a Chianti, and two Super Tuscans. Your host will introduce each one, explaining its characteristics and connection to the territory. The tasting also includes Sant'Appiano's own extra virgin olive oil.
The experience culminates in a traditional four-course Tuscan lunch. The menu features local appetizers like tomato bruschetta and mixed cured meats, followed by pasta with meat sauce, a main course of arista (roast pork) with beans, and tiramisu for dessert. The wines you tasted are paired with the dishes. For children, the same menu is available, served with water.
In summer, the tasting and lunch take place on the panoramic terrace. In cold or bad weather, they are held inside the winery.
