Here is what's in store for you
Early in the morning, your expert wine guide will pick you up from your hotel in Paris. On the way to Sancerre, cross magnificent landscapes while savoring a delicious croissant and listening about the history and characteristics of the appellation.
When you arrive at the first visit, you will be directly immersed in the world of Sancerre. Discover Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, the two grape varieties that make these wines famous, as well as these three famous terroirs: Limestone, Terres Blanches and Silex. This diversity of terroir gives unique characteristics to the wine. Have fun finding them at tasting time. The landscapes of Sancerre are breathtaking! Enjoy a unique view enjoying a glass of wine, all while your guide explains to you how the winegrower takes care of his vines and what are the different works that are carried out there.
Enjoy a traditional French meal with another winemaker. It’s time to learn the art of food and wine pairing! Taste local dishes as well as some of the property's wines. You will surely have the chance to taste this famous French goat cheese which is Crottin de Chavignol. Finally, visit a second area. Discover the infrastructure and machines that make wine: from the pressing of the berries to the cartoning of the bottles. The Sancerre appellation is surrounded by other recognized French appellations such as Pouilly Fumé or Menetou Salon. It is possible that the winemaker also produces it and that you can taste it!
By the end of the day, your guide will take you back to Paris and drop you off at your hotel. You will end this day with a head full of beautiful memories!
