Here is what's in store for you
The journey begins with a pick-up at your accommodation at 9:00 AM, followed by a drive across the iconic Vasco da Gama Bridge, one of Europe’s longest. The first stop is Palmela Castle, one of Portugal’s oldest, offering stunning panoramic views of both the Tejo and Sado Rivers.
Continuing to the Arrábida Mountain, a protected natural park, the tour takes you to the Arrábida Convent, hidden within the lush greenery, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The adventure then shifts to Azeitão, where you’ll visit a traditional tile factory that still practices centuries-old techniques. Here, you’ll learn about the history of Portuguese tiles (azulejos) and even try your hand at this ancient craft.
Next, at Quinta da Bacalhôa, one of Portugal’s most renowned wineries, a guided visit offers insights into Portuguese winemaking traditions, accompanied by an exclusive wine tasting session.
Afterward, the tour leads to California Beach in Sesimbra, a picturesque fisherman’s village known for its crystal-clear waters and lively seaside atmosphere, where visitors can relax or explore the charming coastal town.
Before returning to Lisbon, the experience ends at Cristo Rei, a magnificent viewing platform inspired by Rio de Janeiro’s Christ the Redeemer, offering breathtaking views of Lisbon and the 25 de Abril Bridge, similar in design to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.
This carefully curated itinerary blends culture, nature, and gastronomy, ensuring an unforgettable experience beyond Lisbon’s city limits.
