The Grape Tour – Visit and Guided Tasting of 3 Wines at Castello di Luzzano
Here is what's in store for you
An essential introduction to Castello di Luzzano, designed for those who wish to discover the winery in a simple and authentic way. This experience guides guests from the vineyard to the cellar, passing through the ancient history preserved in the estate’s small Roman museum and concluding with a tasting in the glass.
The visit begins among the vineyards of Castello di Luzzano, where guests learn about the work carried out in the vineyard and the importance of respecting the land. During the walk, you will discover the main pruning systems, vine training methods, and cultivation practices adopted to ensure vine balance, grape quality, and environmentally responsible farming.
The tour continues inside the vinification areas, where the different approaches to winemaking are explained, from white and red wines to sparkling wines and still wines destined for longer aging. The visit then moves to the historic aging cellars, where time and oak barrels contribute to shaping the structure and character of the wines.
The experience also includes a visit to the small Roman museum with its atmospheric barrel room, where ancient history and centuries of winemaking tradition meet.
The visit concludes with a guided tasting of three wines: one sparkling wine, one white wine, and one red wine or red reserve, depending on availability. The tasting is accompanied by a selection of local cold cuts, breadsticks, and crostini, creating a simple and authentic pairing that enhances the flavors of the wines.
