An experience to discover the full potential of the most special vineyards and wines of the Arizcuren project and a great opportunity to visit a winery in the urban area of the city, recovering the historical tradition of the center of Logroño as a place for wine making, lost for decades and dating back to the Middle Ages.
It begins with a detailed explanation of the historical vineyards of Rioja Oriental and Yerga Mountain Range, the traditional viticulture and grape varieties, the culture of detail in the world of wine. Small plots of vines worked with the traditional knowledge passed down through families. The tour continues with a walkthrough on how these wines are made in a small and cozy urban cellar, full of fascinating details like concrete vats, clay amphoras, French oak barriques of different sizes and shapes, and much more. Then, a tasting of four different wines, including some aged exclusively in handmade clay amphorae, single variety wines and a limited editioned single plot wine, along with our home-made organic olive oil and Iberian loin.
