La Cantina del Guarnaccino stands as the sole winery dedicated to vinifying Guarnaccino in its purest form, both as a red and rosé wine. Our commitment to this ancient, autochthonous variety from Chiaromonte led to its official recognition as a varietal, a feat that honors the traditions passed down by our ancestors who vinified this grape long before it was formally acknowledged. Though Basilicata has long been celebrated as the land of Aglianico, since 2013, a new noble grape has emerged—Guarnaccino—with ambitions of becoming a noteworthy player in the region’s wine scene. Nestled within the breathtaking Tenuta Capriccio, our vineyards are surrounded by a natural oasis. With over 50 hectares of land, 7 of which are dedicated to Guarnaccino, our winery is not just a business but a celebration of heritage, nature, and passion for this unique grape.

Cantine De Biase, established in 2009, is located in Castronuovo di Sant'Andrea, a charming village in the Lucanian hinterland within the Pollino National Park. Our winery is driven by a passion for producing high-quality, fine wines that reflect the unique characteristics of our land. The vineyards, nestled among the clay-rich hills of the DOP Grottino di Roccanova region, are managed using organic and vegan methods throughout the entire production chain, from vine cultivation to bottling. This commitment ensures the health of the vines and the organic nourishment of the soil. In recent years, Cantine De Biase has received recognition as a Biodiversity Guardian by ALSIA Basilicata and the Pollino National Park. Despite our small, family-run origins, we have expanded our presence in the Italian wine market and have recently begun exploring international markets.
