About Winery and Wines

Andreas Andreou, a notable local businessman, ventured into winemaking driven by his passion for quality wine. He began his journey in 1995, carefully selecting the ideal soils and climate for his vineyards. In 2010, Andreas’ son, Nektarios Andreou, took over the estate, focusing on expanding the vineyards and modernizing the winery with advanced machinery. The blend of tradition and modernity remains at the core of their winemaking philosophy, with a constant pursuit of quality as their guiding principle.

Nektarios Andreou, a dedicated advocate for Greek wine, has spent a decade refining his skills through specialized courses, setting high standards for quality and promoting Trizinia’s varietal wines both locally and internationally. Their winemaking process minimizes interventions to showcase the unique microclimate of the region, ensuring exceptional quality even for the most discerning connoisseurs.

Based on their principles and love for their ancestral land, they produce the exquisite wines of “Andreou Winery,” situated at the 9th km of Galata – Nafplio – Taktikopolis Troizinias in the northeastern Peloponnese. The surrounding areas, including Poros, Methana, Troizina, Taktikoupolis, and Ancient Epidaurus, offer opportunities for exploration beyond the wines. Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich history and culture of the region, from the bustling island of Poros to the enchanting Methana with its thermal springs and volcano, and the historically significant Troizina.

Andreou Winery also boasts private vineyards in Methana, ensuring the quality and authenticity of their wines.
