Azienda Agricola La Vinarte

Winery in Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

About the Winery

The roots of La Vinarte trace back to the post-war era, when grandfather Vito and grandmother Sabia pursued a vision of revival and authenticity in winemaking. Their passion for a more natural and genuine approach to cellar work was passed down through generations, eventually leading to the foundation of La Vinarte.

Over time, the family introduced significant quality improvements, expanding their vineyards across the Frentana area to showcase the unique characteristics of each terroir. Today, La Vinarte remains a family-run winery, where every aspect of production is personally overseen with a blend of tradition, technical expertise, and innovation. While the younger generations bring scientific knowledge and modern techniques, they continue to be guided by the invaluable 40+ years of experience of their parents, who remain actively involved in the winery’s daily life.

About the Wines

At the heart of Azienda Agricola La Vinarte are its vineyards — 15 hectares of estate-owned land and 10 hectares under management — planted using counter-espalier and tendone systems, with double Guyot and head-trained fruiting methods.

The vineyards span five municipalities in the Frentane hills: Santa Maria Imbaro, Mozzagrogna, Rocca San Giovanni, Fossacesia, and Paglieta. Each terroir is carefully distinguished during vinification to bring out the best expression of every grape variety.

The sovereign grape is Montepulciano, which dominates the vineyard landscape, complemented by other noble red varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Shiraz, alongside distinguished white grapes such as Pecorino and Trebbiano.

Through meticulous vineyard management and a deep respect for terroir, La Vinarte continues to craft wines that embody the rich diversity and character of the Frentane hills.

A magical evening with attention to detail: a fantastic experience!
The "Moonlight Picnic" at La Vinarte was a truly wonderful experience! The atmosphere they managed to create is enchanting: the olive grove lit by little lights among the trees, the comfortable sofas scattered in the greenery, the swings, and the live music in the background make the evening evocative and relaxing.

Everything was also perfect from a culinary standpoint: the picnic box was full of top-quality food and their wines turned out to be exceptional, perfectly complementing dinner under the stars.

One minor detail to refine concerns only the advance communication (for example regarding the possible "White Party" dress code which we found out about by chance while visiting the Instagram page), but overall it was a wonderful evening that we would do again immediately. Highly recommended!
Improve communication and the welcome at the entrance of the estate.

Lack of information
It would have been helpful to receive more information. Event time was listed as 7pm but was actually 7.30pm. Event was actually a “White Party” but we were not made aware that there was a dress code. Food was delicious. Live music started after 10pm. Lovely setting in the olive grove.

Excellent experience
Excellent experience, too bad the workshop wasn't running.
Rich aperitivo with typical local products, a vegetarian option was also available. Well-kept garden and great atmosphere.
I recommend the red wine

Everything was very beautiful
A Saturday evening spent magnificently at the Winedering estate, in a wonderful location, sitting among the olive trees, surrounded by lights and fairy lights everywhere, making the atmosphere magical... The dinner served in a small wooden cabin was distinctive, with every delicacy imaginable to taste and wine to enjoy in complete tranquility. The evening was then accompanied by live music, with lots of people dancing and having a great time. In a few words, an evening to repeat and to suggest to friends. Compliments to the organization, everyone was very nice and kind. Thanks for the lovely evening❤️

Once upon a time...
A country atmosphere worth promoting. The snack in the coolness of the grass-covered earth is unparalleled.
Thank you
I would have liked a little more wine...

Splendid evening
Initially we only had the picnic but we arrived early anyway... so we took the opportunity to also do the cellar tour followed by the tasting. At 7:30 PM we went to pick up our basket with lots of good little things, plus we also got the arrosticini (at an extra cost). During the evening we also had the chance to meet two other couples near us and we joined our benches together, it was a beautiful evening, I would have never expected something like that... excellent wines with beautiful labels.
The only downside: the wasps during the picnic.
