BiancaVigna
About the Winery
BiancaVigna was born from the passion for wine and for the territory of the siblings Elena and Enrico Moschetta, a passion transmitted by their grandfather Genesio, who dedicated himself to the cultivation of vines already at the beginning of the last century on the heroic hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene. At the end of the 1990s, the siblings Elena and Enrico decided to vinify and make their own sparkling wine from grapes grown in the family vineyards, and in 2004, they created BiancaVigna.
The profile of the company and its founders has always been characterised by a deep passion for the land and wine, and built on solid values of respect for the territory. The winery, which stands in the picturesque hills of Ogliano, in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene appellation, was built according to the CasaClimaWine sustainability protocol, which guarantees the climate neutrality of the building and the production process through the use of recycled materials, lighter bottles, solar energy, and large windows for natural light. In addition, all the vineyards follow the SQNPI protocol, and one is cultivated entirely organically, testimony to the commitment to ecosustainability, where beehives have been introduced to encourage biodiversity.
About the Wines
BiancaVigna's style is characterised by a very long second fermentation, which gives the wines elegance and complexity, and by a very low sugar dosage that allows the terroir from which they come to give them full life and voice. A style that finds three exceptional declinations in the three Rive, on which the company focuses its production, the highest qualitative expression of Conegliano Valdobbiadene.
The Conegliano Valdobbiadene Rive di Ogliano, structured and intense, is an expression of the soil of ancient morainic origin, rich in structure and clay, while the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Rive di Soligo comes from the vineyard on the San Gallo hill, rich in limestone rocks resulting from the rise in the sea level. Conegliano Valdobbiadene Rive di Collalto, on the other hand, comes from the southern area of the denomination, where the soil is composed of red clay and the vineyard is surrounded by woods, which allow a rich biodiversity to develop.
The wines can be found on the tables of many starred restaurants, international hotels, wine shops, and selected bars. For eight consecutive years, the winery has received the Tre Bicchieri award from Gambero Rosso, and every year receives recognition from prestigious Italian and international wine guides such as Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, James Suckling, Vinous and many others.
