About Winery and Wines

In 1960 Valentin Pinuaga Salazar , first generation of winemakers in our family, established the winery in the village of Corral de Almaguer, province of Toledo. Since then we have been taking care of the vines he planted with much care and respect. During 30 years Valentin Pinuaga Portillo, second generation maintains the old vines and recuperates clones of Tempranillo and begins to apply organic farming techniques. These special clones of Tempranillo are called Cencibel in the area; with smaller grains, silky skin and longer ripening cycles. In 2003 Valentin Pinuaga and Esther Pinuaga build a new winery in the center of the old bush vine plot. Our estate is located in the province of Toledo, south of Madrid, at an altitude of 750m above sea level, were we craft wines under Organic Farming practices. Today our winery supplies wines to more than 13 countries and has an excellent and loyal customer base to whom we are very grateful.

At Bodegas Pinuaga each wine has its own personality. They all reflect the origin of their terroir: soils, grape variety, farming methods , climate and of course our personal touch. Each wine has its moment and ideal food pairing. We encourage you to discover them and allow each wine to surprise you.
