Ca' Duso

Winery in Lessini Mountains

About the Winery

Ca' Duso is a family-run winery nestled in the scenic hills of the Prelessinia area, in the Province of Vicenza. The winery has a deep-rooted history that spans four generations, beginning with the purchase of the first fields by Duso Giobatta in 1890. Over the years, the family expanded their holdings and began cultivating vineyards, eventually transitioning from selling grapes to building their own modern winery in 2005. Today, Giovanni Battista and Lino, the third generation of the Duso family, oversee the 11-hectare estate with a commitment to artisanal production.

Ca' Duso takes pride in its environmentally conscious approach to winemaking, which includes organic fertilization, manual harvesting, and low yields per hectare to ensure high-quality wines. As members of the Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers, the Duso family handles every stage of production, from vineyard to cellar. Visitors to Ca' Duso can experience not only the rich history of the estate but also its dedication to producing authentic, sustainable wines that reflect the unique characteristics of the land.

About the Wines

Ca' Duso produces a diverse selection of red and white wines, carefully crafted to showcase the distinctive terroir of the Prelessinia hills. The winery cultivates both international varieties, such as Pinot Nero, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay, and local varieties, including Tai Rosso and Garganega. Each grape variety is grown with meticulous attention to the land’s diverse soils and microclimates, allowing for a range of flavors and expressions.

With an artisanal approach to winemaking, Ca' Duso emphasizes low intervention and environmentally friendly practices, ensuring that every bottle embodies the pure essence of the grapes.
