It all began in 1968 when Costantino Rozzi (the founder of the winery) decided to produce and promote Piceno wines and bought the first vineyards. His first bottles of CDO Rosso Piceno Superiore date back to 1970. CDO Rosso Piceno Superiore can only be produced in 13 municipalities of the province of Ascoli Piceno, in a hilly area overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The VILLA PIGNA winery is located in one of these towns, Offida. The winery has a large underground area where the wines mature in quality wooden barrels at a constant natural temperature, and on the ground floor where the wines are aged in concrete vats that allow them to breathe naturally, then transferred to steel tanks before being bottled. The winery is surrounded by 30 hectares of land, including 8 hectares of organic vineyards. The vines are trained using both the Guyot pruning system and the spurred cordon system. The wide range of soils, altitudes and exposures allows the grapes to be harvested at different times of the year, to make precise and technical decisions about the blend. Since 2003 the wines of VILLA PIGNA have been under the direction of Riccardo Cotarella, a renowned oenologist who has shared with the company the growing popularity of its wines and the local area. Today, after several changes in the family, Villa Pigna is managed by Costantino's daughter, Anna Maria, and his grandson, Giorgio. After two decades of excellence at both national and international levels, the winery is now dedicated exclusively to the production of Rosso Piceno Superiore. This choice may seem controversial, given the company's origins, but it is based on the deep roots that the company has always had with the territory and on the new management's passion for the most emblematic denomination that Rozzano wine could best represent.

New grapes have been planted and we are looking forward to surprise market very soon. Terra Antica uses organic and sustainable farming practices that ensure minimal environmental impact. Two hectares of our land, are dedicated to the cultivation of native olives, Frantoio, Moraiolo and Leccino. In November, the best olives are rigorously hand-picked and prompt brought under strict control to the mill so that they maintain all their properties. This allows us to trace the batches of the productions. Rocca di Frassinello

Provides 3 wine tastings and winery visit from €35.00
Rocca di Frassinello is perched on the northern hill formed along the ancient Via Aurelia, which creates a natural canyon funneled by sea breezes from the plains between Castiglione della Pescaia and Grosseto. This constant breeze eliminates humidity and moderates the climate year-round. From the hilltop, the view stretches beyond Marina di Grosseto to the Uccellina Park. The estate was born from an Italian-French joint venture, featuring nearly 90 hectares of vineyards planted with both Italian varieties — Sangioveto and Vermentino — and French varieties — Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz. The wines are primarily blends, except for Baffonero, a 100% Merlot inspired by Masseto, crafted with the same spirit of challenge as the America's Cup. This philosophy contrasts with that of Castellare di Castellina, where native varietals are never blended with international ones. The first official harvest was in 2004, yielding approximately 130,000 bottles. Rocca di Frassinello collaborated with renowned architect Renzo Piano, who brought both his artistic vision and a personal connection to the project, rooted in a long-standing friendship with Paolo Panerai and his own family’s winemaking heritage. Piano designed a winery with essential, functional forms—not as a monument, but as a space that highlights the almost sacred, yet humble, nature of winemaking. Unlike traditional wineries with a horizontal layout, Piano reimagined the space by centering the barriccaia—the heart of the winery, where the wine ages and evolves in barrels. This underground cellar maintains optimal temperature and humidity naturally. The barriccaia is a striking 40x40-meter square with a massive unsupported ceiling. Surrounding it is a 20-meter-wide frame housing all production cycle functions. On two sides of the structure are the steel fermentation vats, each positioned beneath an opening on the roof, which doubles as a large courtyard (sagrato, as Piano calls it). During harvest, grapes, carefully selected and transported in small crates, are gently dropped through these openings directly into the fermentation vats, avoiding the use of pumps that could compromise quality. The remaining sides house bottling, storage, and logistical functions. Rocca di Frassinello seamlessly combines cutting-edge design, respect for tradition, and a commitment to producing wines that embody the unique character of its extraordinary terroir.

Luca Archetti founded Azienda Agricola Il Dosso in 1997 realizing the dream of his father Augusto, who died in 1990. Luca is permeated by the idea of an indissoluble relationship which must link the land to its fruits, that is Franciacorta to its wines. He does not understand, therefore, the attempts of the local viticulture to emulate the French, as for bubbles, or the Tuscans for reds. His inspiring thought is to refuse "corrections" in the cellar, as opposed to an almost maniacal care of the vineyard: the "terroir" must be freely expressed and must identify the wine, far from being homogeneous to hundreds of other products equal to themselves until boredom, whose main characteristic is to be sellable. Archetti will probably never become rich with this activity, but he certainly has a precise identity in the Franciacorta wine production that much bigger companies may have difficulty in finding. Six hectares of vineyards, for a potential annual production of 30,000 bottles. In the land of bubbles, Archetti without any qualms has chosen to privilege red wines, which make up more than three quarters of the wines produced. On the other hand the available vineyards, both for the exposure and for the mineral composition, are particularly suited for red grapes.

We are a young company born from the passion of two brothers for agriculture and viticulture. We started in 2003 with the recovery of abandoned terraces in Granaro di Ceramida, a small hamlet of Bagnara Calabra (RC) overlooking the splendid Costa Viola. We have started a project for the production of wines from native vines: Zibibbo and Calabrese Nero in particular. Recently we have experimented with some international varieties: Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon. In addition to our children, family members, and many childhood friends who have become involved in the project, they too are in love with this land. The vinification cellar is located in a small room in the old village of Ceramida, where the equipment for vinification has been placed, which is done with traditional and artisanal techniques. We do not use barrels or barriques for aging, but everything is done in steel vats.

The ATRIVM farm is located in the town of San Giovanni d'Asso, adjacent to the Brunello's territory, in the province of Montalcino. The farm was built on the ruins of a medieval hamlet and has always been dedicated to the cultivation of vines and the production of wine. The farm has a territory of 100.000 m², of which 30.000 are dedicated to DOC Orcia vineyards and 20.000 to olive groves. This area is also dotted with colorful beehives for beekeeping. In the sixties, the farm was among the first wineries to test the use of row vines for the vineyard, thanks to grandfather Argante's ability to combine the centennial local tradition and innovative viticultural theories. Another of Argante's merits was to pass on his passion for the land to his sons and grandsons, above all Emilio, the current manager: after graduating, at the end of an education based on enology, agronomy, zootechnics, biology and chemistry, he decided to apply his theoretical knowledge to manage the farm and to succeed, like his grandfather, in improving it without undermining the quality of the products.

Today, Tenuta Mattei spans 100 hectares of vineyards, including prestigious grape varieties such as Verdicchio, Lacrima, Montepulciano, Sangiovese, and Merlot.
