The name evokes the soul of the place, so rich in history and magic, that it can bring the mind back to childlike images and ancient aromas. Getting to Campo alle Comete is like entering a world suspended between the land and the sky, where one can walk leisurely and be guided by the stars. The atmosphere immediately becomes familiar, thanks to the emotion radiated by the surrounding vineyards and the myriad of flavours. The name of the winery takes us back to history, when the Bolgheri countryside was just marked by “Campi” (fields), and when, at night, the paths were illumined only by the stars and by an occasional Comet. Campo alle Comete is located in Castagneto Carducci, on the famous Etruscan Riviera, with the Tyrrhenian Sea just a few steps away and the hills standing out in the distance, surrounding it like an amphitheater.

The light that dominates the landscape, the temperate climate and the well-balanced and rich land allow the 15 hectares of land, with 6,500 / 7,500 plants per hectare, to generate delicate wines with a well-defined character. The grape varieties grown in Campo alle Comete, closely linked to the Bolgheri area, are: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
