About Winery and Wines
Our project started 30 years ago when the owner, Mr. Luigi Marangoni, bought these 30-hectar estate and started to restore the biodiversity of the environment. He planted 40,000 native tall trees, such as beeches, alders, poplars, and oaks.
During the next years, many species have come back both animal and vegetal ones (also the woodpecker). Last year, we planted 5 hectares of flowers for beekeeping.
Only in 2015, Mr. Marangoni decided to start the adventure of this vineyard.
In the 11-hectar vineyard we grow Merlot, Istrian Malvasia, Palava (a white grape coming from Moravia, Traminer X Muller-Thurgau, a Veneto IGT nowadays). Furthermore, the winery is betting on PIWI varieties (resistant to fungal diseases), which do not need sulphur and copper in the vineyard. PIWIs are becoming more and more interesting in the market as SUPER-ORGANIC products (for further details see www.piwi-international.de). Among them our Sauvignon Kretos, Fleurtai, Johanniter, and Cabernet Volos.
You can find in our portfolio: sparkling, white, red, and raisin wines.
Le Carezze wines entered the market in 2017. Despite being a new winery, the wines have collected great results in international competitions.
All our grapes are harvested manually in 5 kg crates and then dried in order to concentrate and transform sugars and aromas. The “appassimento”/drying period goes from 3-4 weeks for sparkling and white wines till 3 months for the red ones.
At the end of the production, our red wines and Jupiter Special Refinement, age in American oak barriques. These products are full-bodied, complex, persistent, and long-lasting. They are also characterized by their minerality, balance, and integrated tannins in the red ones.
