Cantina Produttori Fregona s.c.a.

Cantina Produttori Fregona (Piera Dolza) is a small cooperative located in the hills between the Piave River and the Cansiglio area, in Veneto. It brings together a group of historic local producers united by a shared mission: to preserve and promote one of the most unique and traditional wines of the region.

At the heart of the project is a deep connection to the territory of Fregona, an area characterized by a distinctive microclimate where ventilation, seasonal variations, and natural conditions play a crucial role in viticulture. This environment allows for minimal intervention in the vineyard and contributes to the authenticity of the wines.

The cooperative embodies a strong sense of heritage and collaboration, where tradition, knowledge, and respect for nature are passed down through generations. Its identity is closely tied to the preservation of local culture and winemaking practices that have remained largely unchanged over centuries.

The estate's flagship product is the Torchiato di Fregona DOCG “Piera Dolza”, a rare and historic sweet passito wine.

Produced using an ancient method, the grapes are harvested and then naturally dried (appassimento) for several months. The process relies entirely on the local climate and seasonal conditions, without chemical intervention. After drying, the grapes are pressed multiple times and the must is aged in small barrels, resulting in a wine that is rich, velvety, and complex.
