About Winery and Wines

Our family company was founded in 1979 by Gabriel and his father Karl. Both had been working for several years in the wine sector before deciding to start their own business. To create a winery from nothing was a great deal of hard work. The first bottles were filled, closed and labelled by hand (we are pleased that nowadays machines do the work for us). As we are not big landowners we are very pleased that there are many loyal farmers who bring us their grapes for processing. In the vineyards both we and our suppliers pay attention to high quality. In the winery itself it is entirely up to us to produce good wine from the precious grapes. From the start our business was very small, so there was actually no alternative other than to let our wines speak for themselves. Only quality and friendly service justify the existence of a small family company! In the future we would like to continue working along these lines without making a philosophy of it, we prefer to be practical in our work.
