Cascina Ciapat

Cascina Ciapat is a family-run company, which for four generations has been committed to obtaining high-quality wines, respecting the environment. Since 2023, it has been certified SQNPI (sustainable production) by the Italian Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry Policies. In the estate's vineyards, herbicides are not used and the grapes are harvested strictly by hand in boxes to preserve every single bunch until pressing. Cascina Ciapat owns 13 hectares of vineyards that they work almost entirely by hand, and produce typical wines of the Roero.

The white wine par excellence of Cascina Ciapat's production is the famous Roero Arneis DOCG, an indigenous vine of the area. The estate also produces a small amount of a lesser-known wine, the Langhe Favorita DOC, very light and easy to drink. The most prized red wine is Nebbiolo, from which they obtain wines of great character, different in terms of vinification and refinement: Langhe Nebbiolo, Nebbiolo d'Alba, and the renowned Roero DOCG. Cascina Ciapat also has a small production of Barbera d'Alba DOC and a selection of Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC, obtained from old vineyards.
