About Winery and Wines
Château de Panisseau, nestled in the Périgord Pourpre near Bergerac, is a historic estate dating back to the 12th century. Once built by the English during the Fourth Crusade, the château has evolved over centuries while maintaining its medieval charm. Now owned by Claire and Audouin, passionate stewards of both the château and its vineyards, the estate spans 106 hectares, with 47 dedicated to vines. Visitors can explore the castle's rich history and discover the secrets of winemaking in this stunning setting.
The vineyards of Château de Panisseau benefit from the diverse soils of the Bergerac appellation, which allows each grape variety to express its full potential. With vines grown on well-drained hillsides, the estate produces wines that reflect the rich terroir and centuries of winemaking tradition. Each wine is crafted with attention to detail, showcasing the best of the region’s unique characteristics. From whites to reds, Château de Panisseau’s wines embody the harmony between the land, the history, and the passion of its winemakers.
