About the Winery
La Roerina winery began with a small step inspired by Nonno Giovanni and his passion for wine. Today, that same love for the craft, along with a deep-rooted belief in the value of hard work, has united everyone into one big family. As the saying goes, "A dream starts with a single step."
During the years of the economic boom, in 1959, Martino Giovanni’s family left the Roero region and opened a wine shop with a wine bar service in the Turin area. The clientele quickly grew, developing a strong loyalty to the company. The family’s deep connection to their homeland eventually brought them back to the Roero region. The Bricco Stanteri and its small chapel became an important point of reference for the family. It was here, in the late 1960s, that La Roerina was founded. In the 1980s, the vineyard holdings expanded across the Langhe and Roero areas.
With the experience gained over the years, La Roerina’s clientele and sales increased significantly. In the early 2000s, the family extended their passion for wine into the world of hospitality by establishing Hotel Munin, which became a reference point in the Roero for both Italian and international tourists. Today, the new generation has not only continued to produce traditional Piedmontese wines but also expanded the portfolio to include high-quality wines from both national and international terroirs, carefully selected for their excellence.
Since the late 1960s, the focus has been on creating a business rooted in values connected to family and territory. The commitment to understanding the needs and preferences of clients has always been a priority. One question has remained at the forefront: what motivates a customer to place an order by phone or email? One answer lies in the careful attention and accuracy with which products are selected, ensuring only the best reaches those who appreciate fine wines.

A splendid Easter
This family gave us two splendid hours on Easter day, delighting us with excellent wine and providing us with detailed and never boring explanations thanks to the extreme professionalism and knowledge of Giancarlo. Each glass told a story.
A special thanks to his wife for the excellent delicacies prepared for us, in particular her hazelnut cake.
