About Winery and Wines
Les Pierres d’Aurèle is a family-run wine estate managed by Pierre and Aurélie. Today, the estate covers 40 hectares, including 25 hectares currently being converted to organic farming. It is located in the heart of the Loire Valley, a French wine region undergoing a true renaissance. Over the past decade, the energy and vision of young winemakers have helped elevate the Loire to the ranks of France’s finest wine regions. It is in this spirit that we took over the vineyard in 2010 and continue to work every day to produce high-quality, terroir-driven wines.
Our vines are grown on the clay-silica soils of Chenonceaux, with great respect for the environment. The vines, aged between 15 and 105 years, are cultivated with deliberately low yields to ensure optimal grape quality.
After the harvest, we apply meticulous care to the winemaking process to produce a rich and varied range of wines — from the fruity, typical Touraine Sauvignon to the more distinctive Pineau d’Aunis rosé. The Domaine de Pierres d’Aurèle offers 28 cuvées, grouped into distinct ranges, each with its own identity and character. The Printemps range features fresh, fruity wines to be enjoyed young, while the Terroirs range showcases our oldest vines, rich in depth and complexity. The Nature range, from organically grown vineyards, expresses the grape in its purest form. With the Signature range, each cuvée embodies the spirit of the estate. Our Parcellaires range comes from our finest vineyard plots, carefully selected for their unique expression. The Pétillants naturels offer the charm of artisanal sparkling wines, and the Moelleux range presents sweet, elegant wines.
These cuvées are crafted from a variety of grape varieties: well-known ones such as Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Chenin, Côt (Malbec), Gamay, Cabernet Franc, and Grolleau, as well as lesser-known gems like Pineau d’Aunis. Each wine is the result of meticulous work by our winemakers, aiming to reveal the full richness of the grapes and the character of each terroir.
