About Winery and Wines
The Brédif estate was created in 1893 by M. Brédif, pionner in the creation of sparkling Vouvray.
In 1980, as a true lover of wine, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette took over the activity. Enamoured with quality and tradition, he breathes new life into the estate.
You will be warmly welcomed to discover our wines and invited to learn more about the history of Bredif, the cellar, and the winemaking process of the estate.
Depending on the clay-limestone, siliceous or sandier terroirs, the exposure and age of the vines, Maison Brédif produces several expressions of great Loire wines. In Vouvray, it produces the classic Vouvray, Nectar Marc Brédif, harvested late in certain exceptional vintages, Vigne Blanche, a wine made from vines of the same name and exclusively owned by the estate — a monopoly that produces a great dry white wine — as well as Vouvray Pétillant Fines Bulles, an elegant and refined expression of the appellation.
Maison Brédif also produces red and rosé wines in Chinon, including the prestigious Chinon Réserve Privée and the rare Chinon Blanc. It also produces great red wines with a Loire character, made exclusively from Cabernet Franc in the Bourgueil, Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, and Saumur-Champigny appellations, highlighting the diversity and finesse of this emblematic Loire grape variety.
