About Winery and Wines

The farm Moretti Omero obtained its organic certification in 1992. The organic production was a challenge accepted by Omero and continued by his daughter Giusy.

The keyword is craftsmanship. Favoring the cultivation of native varieties the family is responsible for every stage of production: from harvesting by hand grapes and olives, to leading tastings in the cantina or around the world.

Omero’s worker hands, Daniela‘s round and cheerful face, the sympathy of the two daughters, Giusy and Lucia, are their way of being remembered: a genuineness that conquers anyone who has the opportunity to meet them.

Love for the land and respect for the biodiversity are the heart of the company philosophy. Moretti family cultivate native - very rare - varieties such as: Sagrantino and Trebbiano Spoletino grapes, Moraiolo and San Felice olives. Moretti family is proud to say that Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG 2016 received 97 points from Decanter magazine, thus this particular wine has became one of the best 50 wines in the world and it is in the list of the best 8 Italian wines.

The family also produce an excellent extra virgin olive oil in their frantoio. That olive mill is exclusively used for pressing their own olives in order to have no contamination with external pesticides and due to garantee the quality in first person, infact all the family is involved in each stage of the work, from fields to presents wines and EVO all over the world.
