Locally owned small winery with excellent small batch wines and olive oil. They tout all natural, family owned wines. The wines were really nice and moderately priced. We ended up buying two bottles a merlot variety and dry white. Our guide was the owners daughter. She was informative and pleasant. If your in the area stop by before this place becomes international.

Friendly people, nice place and good wine! Make sure you stop by after your visit to Olympia. Just outside the town before you reach the highway. I'm really glad I made this small 'detour'.

We went there without an invitation and they gave us directly a private tour around the winery and a wine tasting. The girl that showed us around was very friendly. We loved it. Thanks again for the warm welcome !
(just be aware that you have to pay a small amount of money, but it's definitely worth it !)

About Winery and Wines

The history of the vineyard of the estate begins in 1985 with the revival of 15 acres of a family vineyard situated in Koskina (Ancient Olympia) and mainly consisting of the Moschofilero variety. The family Liarommati get used to make wine with the traditional way, such as pressing the grapes with the feet. It was like a festival because all the relatives arrived there to assist the family with the harvesting and after with the pressing. Imagine all the wemen of the family into the big stoned winepress to “dance” on the grapes until to gather all the must (juice) in the wooden barrels. In our days the field of 15 acres expanded and the Kladeos river flows through the privately-owned vineyard, which now covers an area of 100 acres. This area now is planted with the local white varieties of Asyrtiko (Asserteko), Malagouzia (Malayousia) and Roditis (Rodetes), the noble red variety of Agiorgitiko (Ayioryeteko), the French variety of Chardonnay Blanc as well as the foreign varieties Merlot and Syrah.
