About Winery and Wines

Podere Cunial is located in the tranquility of the Asolo hills in the province of Treviso, a few kilometers from Venice and the Dolomites, within the MAB Unesco Biosphere Reserve of Monte Grappa. A land of choice for Art, History and Nature, located in the heart of the Asolo Prosecco Superiore Docg area, where Asolo also stands, the historic village among the most beautiful in Italy, called by Giosuè Carducci "City of 100 horizons". From our vineyards and olive grove you can admire the Temple of Possagno by Antonio Canova, Monte Grappa and the Piave river sacred to the Fatherland, the Rocca d'Asolo and the colmello di Costalunga.

Podere Cunial is a young and lively small family farm, born from a great passion for this territory, where biodiversity is still very evident.

We at Podere Cunial have made a choice. The choice to truly experience the biodiversity present around us, raising vines, cultivating olive trees, working the woods, preserving and enhancing large meadows full of fragrant flowers and precious wild herbs. We have decided to cultivate this land, to defend it and treat it with respect, surrounded by an ecosystem also chosen by foxes, roe deer, deer and hares.

The area where our wine and oil are born has a high environmental and landscape value, with limited human presence, where you can enjoy a privileged microclimate, hilly, always sunny and well ventilated. The breeze coming from Monte Grappa and the excellent exposure make the environment particularly suitable for every plant to grow luxuriantly. From the respect for this landscape and for the history of these places comes our desire to produce wines and oil, with sustainable agricultural practices, in compliance with rigorous specifications and using only rainwater. Furthermore, the intelligent use of renewable energy, the recovery of natural hedges and the maintenance of native trees to allow the development of fauna, are daily choices of great passion and commitment.

Our Asolo Prosecco Superiore Docg and Souvignier Gris Piwi come from individual hillside vineyards, on the slopes of Monte Grappa, at about 300 meters above sea level. These are lands characterized by a preponderant presence of organic substance and minerals that make these wines unique. We use grapes coming exclusively from our own vineyards, selected and worked entirely by hand, as grandfather Mario once did. The work in the cellar, however, is characterized by cutting-edge technology, rigorously controlled. Tradition and innovation, combined with the warmth of the family, allow you to taste the expression of the Asolo territory in every glass!

Our Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Brut Millesimato comes from high hill vineyards with excellent southern exposure, refreshed by breezes from Monte Grappa. The soil is rich in clay mixed with pebbles of carbonated stones, which give our Asolo Prosecco strong structure and minerality, revealing intense aromas of elderberry, apple and wisteria to the nose. A true experience of flavor and aromas!

In the land where the sculptor Antonio Canova was born, our vineyard of resistant Piwi vines is located. These plants are characterized by a high capacity to defend themselves from the main fungal diseases. This peculiarity invites us to an even more environmentally friendly agriculture, devoted to manual work and respect for the cyclical nature of the seasons, with limited use of combustion means. This method of growing the vine gives every year a pure fruit, which in the bottle is distinguished by unmistakable freshness, minerality and aromatic complexity.
