Punt Road Winery

Punt Road Winery, located in the Yarra Valley, is a family-owned estate with deep roots in Italian heritage. The story begins in 1926, when Joseph Napoleone migrated from Abruzzo, Italy, to Australia in search of new opportunities. After years of hard work and challenges, including the Great Depression and World War II, the family was reunited and established their agricultural business in Victoria.

In 1948, the Napoleone family purchased land in Wandin, initially focusing on orchards. As the Yarra Valley wine region began to revive in the late 20th century, the family expanded into viticulture, acquiring a historic site in Coldstream—once home to the original St Huberts vineyard.

Vine planting began in 1987, and a modern winery was built in the late 1990s. In 2001, the first Punt Road wines were released, marking the beginning of a successful winemaking journey. Today, the Napoleone family continues to manage vineyards, a winery, orchards, as well as a brewery and ciderhouse, maintaining a strong commitment to quality and innovation.
