Quinta D’Azinheira

Quinta D’Azinheira is located in the Baixo Corgo sub-region, in Santa Marta de Penaguião, within the Alto Douro Wine Region, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With roots dating back to the 18th century, it remains loyal to its identity as a family farm.

Quinta d'Azinheira is an authentic wine destination set amidst rolling vineyards and ancient olive groves, that produces high-quality wines and offers immersive experiences that connect visitors to the traditions, landscape, and culture of Douro. With a focus on hospitality, heritage, and sensory experiences, Quinta d'Azinheira invites guests to enjoy tastings, traditional meals, and personalized wine experiences in an intimate and storied setting.  The tastings take place in a setting surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and offer a privileged view over the Douro landscape.

Under the slogan “Douro Wine & Emotions,” the farm has been establishing itself as a place of sharing and authenticity. While honouring tradition, it embraces innovation in both wine production and its wine tourism offerings.

Produced from hand-harvested grapes and closely overseen by winemaker Luís Leocádio, the wines of Quinta d’Azinheira reflect the authenticity of the land and the dedication of those who work it.

With his accumulated expertise and refined craft, Luís shapes Quinta D’Azinheira wines as a true reflection of traditional winemaking, respecting the identity of each grape variety and enhancing the unique richness of the terroir. Each bottle is a true expression of this, with its balance, vibrancy, and strong character.

Over the years, Quinta d’Azinheira wines have been proudly representing the essence of the Douro, being recognized for their quality and strong connection to Douro terroir. Our wines have been distinguished with high scores from specialized magazines and Wine Stores (Vinotecas) and some awards like Gran Arribe de Oro in the VinDuero-VinDouro International Wine Contest.
