About Winery and Wines
Quinta do Porto Nogueira was established in 1738 and never changed owners until the 20th century. The current owners acquired it at the beginning of this century. Vine cultivation has been the main crop at Quinta do Porto Nogueira for centuries, now restored and planted in their original terroirs around the Countryhouse and Cellar.
Quinta do Porto Nogueira's vineyards are planted in clayey soils, with natural salinity and freshness, without irrigation, unique, marked by the influence of a natural microclimate at the foot of the Serra de Todo-o-Mundo ("All-the-World Mountain") and by the proximity to the Atlantic sea, which is 20 km away. Each parcel of Quinta do Porto Nogueira's vineyard - with DOC classification - is valued as unique and different, and all wines are made for the enjoyment of their consumers and to be enjoyed by them.
