About Winery and Wines

Terre di Gratia is Gaspare and Rosario's dream come true. Driven by passion, the two brothers returned to their grandparents' farm and winery to rediscover ancient varieties and produce fine organic wines with modern and highly sustainable techniques.

Today, they welcome all the wine lovers to show them the beauty of the landscape from the natural ledge on the Belice river valley, while letting them taste some of the most iconic wines of western Sicily.

Every tasting is paired with local, seasonal food and is guided by Gaspare or Rosario, who are happy to explain how their wines are made and what's behind every bottle.

170: it's a DOC Sicilia red wine, 100% made by Perricone, a sicilian endemic grape variety. It represents the perfect symbiosis between the variety and the territory of production, it's a high intensity, full bodied red wine, needing no oak ageing to get to the widest expression of the typical notes of mulberry, rhubarb, cocoa powder and red orange.

27: like 170, it takes the name from the number of the unique parcel in which the grapes are cultivated. A 100% Catarratto, vinified as a classic white wine, it shows elegance and equilibrium, perfectly matching the meaning of the word Gratia. Enjoy the white fruit, like apple and peach, the chamomile and thyme on the nose and the fresh acidity on the palate.

Dama Rosa: rosè wine made by Perricone grapes, it carries all the strenght of this ancient variety together with the freshness of a good rosè. Easy to pair with a wide range of food, including red meat, it has a long persistance that lasts for many seconds. Pomegranate, blood orange, red rose and pink pepper are the most relevant nose, both on the nose and the palate.

Dama D'oro: This is the traditional wine of the farmer, though made in a modern way. It requires open-mindness and desire for discovery, but it rewards you with pure pleasure. It is easy to pair both with fish and meat, cheese and vegetables. The notes of candied orange peels, acacia honey, sulphur and mediterranean bush will surprise you at every sip.

Perle di Grazia: Sparkling means party, especially when the wine is so fresh and complex. But it's also a wine for all the
meal, if it's a fish meal. We suggest to pair it with raw fish and fried (fish and vegetables): it explodes, fulfills and satisfies the mouth, being fresh, savory, with a lively acidity, inviting everytime to the next sip.

Biancomosso: This is the wine for the italian-style aperitivo, for a boat trip or a pic-nic with friends. White flowers and fruits spread from the glass, pushed by the thin bubbles to tickle the nose with pleasure. Fresh and pleasant in the mouth, with a long aftertaste.

Sasà Nero d'Avola: The maceration and vinification in concrete tanks and at controlled temperature allow this wine to be
pleasant and fruity, able to satisfy almost every palate. Raspberry and strawberry arrive first to the nose. Then, floreal notes of red rose and spicy ones of black pepper and cinnamon reveal. We suggest to pair it with traditional meat dishes of the sicilian cuisine. In this bottle, even the label and the cap are "made with grapes", by reusing the pomace after vinification: our small contribution for the environment.

Sasà Grillo: Fruity notes of peach and agrumes melted with herbaceous hints of chamomile and nettle on the nose; sapidity and acidity interact, in the mouth, to a great pleasure. Consistent with the nose, in particular for the fruitiness. It is a wine for fish, raw or cooked, but it pairs even with white meat and savoury cheese. In this bottle, even the label and the cap are "made with grapes", by reusing the pomace after vinification: our small contribution for the environment.
