Fantastic wine and a great experience learning about the winery and their traditional approach to wine making.
We left with the last of their 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon along with a variety of their other wines.
Looking forward to their 2017 range.

Lovely family run winery! One of my favourites in the Yarra Valley. Their Marsanne is absolutely delicious.

About Winery and Wines

Warramunda Estate is located at Coldstream in the Yarra Valley, one of Australia’s most-famed cool climate wine regions. The Warramate Hills create a natural, vineyard-lined amphitheatre – a drawcard for wine lovers the world over – renowned for its terroir-driven wines. The mild, temperate climate of warm summers, crisp winters and generous July rainfalls creates the ideal environment for premium wine grapes. Much of the estate straddles bedrock composed of shelving sedimentary sandstone that, in turn, produces a series of unique sub and topsoils, all of which resonate though the groundwater, the vines and, ultimately, the vintages. Warramunda Estate sits atop a range of varying topsoils, underpinned by an ancient sandstone cap, which produces a distinct terroir infusing the vineyard’s complex soil structures. The estate’s wines reflect the vineyard’s complex geology and micro-climate – the unmistakable taste, the terroir of the Yarra Valley.
