Here is what's in store for you

Experience all Tahbilk has to offer with A Day at Tahbilk.

Begin your day with a personally guided tour of the winery encompassing both the old and the new technologies utilised. Tahbilk’s traditional red wines are fermented in the same vats that were used in the 1800s. However, winemaking techniques change and improve with time. In addition to the historic winery, Tahbilk has a modern winery and employs up-to-date winemaking techniques and practices. There is no better winery at which to experience a history of winemaking. You can learn why some older techniques are still preferred and where new practices produce a better wine.

Following the winery tour, you will learn the art of winemaking in the form of blending, the motto being that “the whole is greater than the sum of the parts”. Guided by a Wine Ambassador you will start with individual wines and blend them to create a wine that is truly yours. A 750ml bottle of your blend will be yours to take away.

After all your hard work making your own blend you will no doubt be hungry for lunch! Tahbilk’s Wetlands’ View Restaurant is perched overlooking the wetlands providing an ideal setting for a relaxed lunch with some fine wines. Enjoy a two-course lunch created with the finest local produce and a matching glass of wine at each course.

Finish the day with a Wetlands Ecology Tour accompanied by an expert guide who will walk with you through the wetlands trail and explain the restoration work that has been completed, the work being done to save the endangered species that live in the wetlands, and the impact the ecological work has on the winery and wines.

Held my Dad's 70th at the restaurant there. Great experience. Beautiful space, good food and really friendly staff. Best part was how accommodating Tahbilk were to work with. Most places are very rigid with the packages they offer, but Zack, the manager, was super flexible and we got exactly what we wanted.
Can recommend!

Steeped in a long history of wine making with heritage buildings, family history display, and a lot of antique equipment on the grounds. Definitely make sure you go downstairs into the cellar.

Very scenic location on the river.

A great selection of wines plus some that are quite unique e.g. Marsanne, Rousanne etc.

Excellent, delicious meal and service. Clearly the chef and kitchen team deliver a very high standard of restaurant dining equal or better than many top Melbourne restaurants, IMHO. Definitely recommend and will return soon.
