Napier Afternoon Winery and Gin Tasting Tour in Hawke’s Bay

Each winery will offer between four and seven wines for tasting, divided between reds and whites. Chardonnay is the dominant white variety produced in Hawke’s Bay, but lovers of Sauvignon Blanc will also enjoy a tasting at Mission Estate. Among the reds, Shiraz and Bordeaux blends take center stage.
The first estate you’ll visit is Mission Estate, established in 1851. The tasting hall and restaurant are located in a two-story Victorian mansion offering magnificent views over the vineyards. Next, visit The National Gin Distillery, where you’ll sample five different gins.
After a 20-minute drive through orchards and vineyards, you’ll arrive at Askerne Estate, a boutique winery producing around 100,000 bottles across 13 grape varieties. Enjoy a seated tasting accompanied by a complimentary cheese board featuring New Zealand cheeses.
Finally, you’ll return to Napier for drop-off in the early evening.
