Authentic Winery Tour and Wine Tasting at Podere Barbi in Umbria

Experience an authentic journey at Podere Barbi, a family-run winery in the heart of Umbria, located in the Baschi area near Orvieto, where rolling hills and vineyards define one of the most authentic wine landscapes in Umbria. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed at the estate and introduced to the philosophy of Podere Barbi, rooted in respect for the land and the enhancement of the Umbrian terroir.

The experience begins with a guided walk through the vineyards surrounding the winery, offering insight into native grape varieties and seasonal vineyard work in Umbria. Guests then continue inside the winery to discover the winemaking process, from fermentation to aging, exploring the production spaces and cellar, with a special focus on our approach to spontaneous fermentation, used for 4 of our wines, which expresses a more natural and territorial interpretation of Orvieto and its surroundings.

The visit concludes with a guided tasting of 5 wines produced by Podere Barbi, including a selection of white, red, and rosé expressions of the territory, paired with local food products such as cured meats, cheeses, and traditional Umbrian specialties, carefully chosen to enhance the tasting experience.
