Experience an authentic journey at Podere Barbi, a family-run winery in the heart of Umbria, located in the Baschi area near Orvieto, where rolling hills and vineyards define one of the most authentic wine landscapes in Umbria. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed at the estate and introduced to the philosophy of Podere Barbi, rooted in respect for the land and the enhancement of the Umbrian terroir.
The experience begins with a guided walk through the vineyards surrounding the winery, offering insight into native grape varieties and seasonal vineyard work in Umbria. Guests then continue inside the winery to discover the winemaking process, from fermentation to aging, exploring the production spaces and cellar, with a special focus on our approach to spontaneous fermentation, used for 4 of our wines, which expresses a more natural and territorial interpretation of Orvieto and its surroundings.
The visit concludes with a guided tasting of 5 wines produced by Podere Barbi, including a selection of white, red, and rosé expressions of the territory, paired with local food products such as cured meats, cheeses, and traditional Umbrian specialties, carefully chosen to enhance the tasting experience.
Set in a panoramic location overlooking the Umbrian countryside, the experience offers stunning vineyard views and an intimate atmosphere that reflects the identity of Podere Barbi. This visit is special because it combines hands-on discovery, authentic family hospitality, and a deep connection to the Umbrian territory, allowing guests to understand the story behind each wine directly from the producer in one of the most genuine wine regions of Umbria.

Podere Barbi is located in the Baschi area near Orvieto (Umbria, Italy), in a rural countryside setting surrounded by vineyards. The full address is: Vocabolo Stucchio, Baschi (TR), Umbria, Italy.
Please note: the default Google Maps route may not be suitable, as it may lead to an unpaved road passable only with 4x4 vehicles. For the correct route, reach the Baschi middle school area (Scuole Medie di Baschi), then reset your navigation system before continuing to the winery.
Parking is available on-site, free of charge, and we recommend arriving by car or private transfer, as public transport is limited in the Baschi–Orvieto area of Umbria.
