Basque cooking class in San Sebastian
Here is what's in store for you
Immerse yourself in a 2-hour 45-minute gastronomic experience in San Sebastian, where you go from diner to cook: a hands-on cooking master class in one of our “secret kitchens” in the Old Town, led by an expert chef and with translation provided if needed.
You’ll learn key Basque cooking techniques by preparing four iconic dishes: creamy Spanish tortilla, perfectly emulsified cod al pil-pil, stuffed piquillo peppers, and the emblematic Basque cheesecake. The experience concludes by enjoying the dishes you’ve prepared, paired with a red wine from La Rioja, a Txakoli, and a traditional cider.
We work in small groups of a maximum of 8 people, allowing you to fine-tune cuts, timing, and sauces, and to take home recipes you can recreate, along with professional tips and advice on local products.
This culinary experience does more than teach you how to cook; it connects you with the spirit of Donostia / San Sebastian, a city surrounded by one of the highest concentrations of Michelin Stars in the world within a 25 km radius, an international benchmark that explains the local obsession with technique, flavor, and seasonality.

You can cancel for free until 1 Day Prior
A minimum of 4 adults is required for the tour to take place. If you have booked for fewer adults and the minimum number has not been reached three days before the scheduled date, we will send you a message informing you of a possible cancellation. The tour will remain available for bookings until the day before at 16:30. If the minimum number of participants is not met by then, the activity will be cancelled. During this period, you may cancel your reservation with a guaranteed 100% refund.
