Your journey begins in late morning as you board a cruise boat that takes you along the Moselle River to a charming riverside village (approx. 20 minutes). After a short walk, you’ll enjoy a hearty German-style lunch platter, featuring a variety of cold cuts (ham, salami), cheeses, tomato mozzarella, potato salad, and fresh bread.
Recharged and ready, you’ll meet a local winemaker who will take you on a covered wagon tour through the vineyards. Enjoy 5 tastings of estate wines as you admire panoramic views over the Mosel Valley. At various stops along the route, you'll learn about the region’s rich winemaking traditions and the specifics of Mosel viticulture.
During the ride, wine and water are served freely, and bottles can be purchased directly from the winemaker. At the end of the tour, the wagon will return you to the riverbank, where your cruise boat will be waiting to take you back to Bernkastel-Kues.
