Calici & Sapori: Wine Tasting with Local Products at Villa Meneghello in Lazise
Here is what's in store for you
Your tasting of Lake Garda's local flavors takes place at Villa Meneghello, where a member of the family or their hospitality team will welcome you. They will guide you through a selection of the estate's wines and foods, explaining the region's winemaking traditions.
The experience is usually held in the villa's olive grove. In case of rain, the tasting moves to the indoor tasting room. You will taste two Villa Meneghello wines, choosing them from a selection of seven labels: Custoza DOC, Lugana DOC, Chiaretto di Bardolino DOC Classico, Bardolino DOC Classico, Spumante Brut Rosé Garda DOC, a Rosso Verona IGT at 13.5%, and a more structured Rosso Verona IGT at 16%.
The wines are paired with a platter featuring two cured meats and two cheeses, selected according to availability. The selection may include cooked ham, speck, mortadella, or pancetta, alongside cheeses such as Monte Veronese, Grana Padano, Gorgonzola, or Caciotta.
Children are welcome and can be provided with soft drinks and snacks. Before you leave, you'll have the opportunity to purchase Villa Meneghello wines and the estate's own extra virgin olive oil.
