Chianti Classico Tasting & Historic Collection Tour at Tenuta di Nozzole in Greve

Your experience at Tenuta di Nozzole, located in Greve on the northern side of the Chianti Classico area, begins with a welcome from the Folonari hospitality team. You'll start with a guided tour of the barrel room, then continue to the historic collection where the estate preserves its labels dating back to 1980. The visit then proceeds to the tasting room inside the wine shop.

Here, you will explore three different expressions of Sangiovese, all from the estate. You will taste the Nozzole Chianti Classico DOCG, a modern and fruity interpretation of the grape. Next is La Forra Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, the estate's historic Riserva first produced in 1980.

The tasting concludes with the Giovanni Folonari Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, a traditional style matured in large oak barrels. To accompany the wines, you'll have the estate's own extra virgin olive oil served on toasted bread, along with a local pecorino cheese. It's a direct way to understand how a single grape variety can reveal three distinct personalities within the same territory.
