Lasagna Cooking Class, Lunch, and Wine Tasting at Poggio ai Laghi in Chianti

Your experience begins in a Tuscan kitchen at Poggio ai Laghi, where one of the estate's chefs will welcome you. You'll get hands-on right away, preparing homemade lasagna from scratch using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The class is designed to be easy and suitable for everyone, with no previous cooking experience needed.

While your lasagna bakes, the estate's sommelier will guide you through a complete tasting of Poggio ai Laghi's products. This is a sensory journey through the Chianti region, featuring all 8 estate wines, a selection of signature balsamic vinegars, and several extra virgin olive oils. The sommelier will explain the grape varieties, winemaking techniques, and tasting notes for each wine, adapting the level of detail to your curiosity.

After the tasting, you will move to a private room for a gourmet lunch. The meal begins with appetizers of Tuscan salami, prosciutto, finocchiona, four types of aged pecorino, Parmigiano Reggiano, and bruschetta. The first course will be the lasagna you prepared, followed by a main course of grilled sliced beef with roasted potatoes. The meal concludes with dessert, with each course accompanied by the wines you have just tasted.

Children are welcome to join. They will share the dishes from the menu, with alternative pasta options available on request, and will be served water or fruit juice. At the end of the experience, you will receive a signature Poggio ai Laghi gift to take home.
