Vertraut von Weinliebhabern auf der ganzen Welt

Sabato 23 Luglio 2016 abbiamo visitato la Tenuta di Castellare di Castellina di Castellina in Chianti, appuntamento per 2 persone alle 9:45 per un tour guidato nella cantina e degustazione di alcuni dei loro vini. La strada per raggiungere la cantina si trova facilmente con qualsiasi navigatore e solamente una volta varcata la soglia del cancello ci aspettano si e no 100 metri di sterrato per niente proibitivo. Il posto è magnifico, un anfiteatro naturale di viti, bosco e alberi che si alternano a formare quel microclima ideale che rendono TUTTI i vini della tenuta davvero ottimi e di altissima qualità. Finita la degustazione in una saletta confortevole e tranquilla siamo passati all'acquisto di una bella scorta di bottiglie per le nostre cantine: diverse bottiglia da 0,75, alcune Magnum e l'immancabile e davvero buonissimo

Zambartas is a family-owned winery, now in its second generation. Run by Markos and Marleen Zambartas, the winery produces a range of wines from Cypriot and international vintages. Though young, Zambartas winery has won a range of prizes and acclaim. What impresses me is the long-term focus on quality by Markos and Marleen, and their desire to develop a winery that really illustrates Cyprus and its traditions.

We arrived around 4 pm unannounced and had difficulty in finding the entrance. We made the dogs bark which draw the attention of the winemaker, Marcos Zambartas. He took all time to show us around, explain the wine making process and let us taste his wines. The wines are fruity and not too heavy. His stock was almost sold out indicating that the demand exceeds his production. It is advised to make a reservation since the place is difficult to find and to make sure there is someone to show you around.

Excellent winnery. One of the best winneries of Cyprus. They provide excellent toor in the winnery providing information about the procedures of the production of wine and the equipment and properties of the winnery.
