Probably the best winemaker in Santorini. Very friendly this guy is working his wine naturaly and looking for perfection... And he's not that far from it! Taste the Assyrtiko de Milos, one of the best white wine in the world.

This old established winery was located in famous winery area in Santorini island. The winery has over 300 years history, and I watched barrels which aged over 150 years. They provide wine tasting of 9 kinds of wines at 15 euro, also sell their house wines and unique Vinsant.

Hello George and Gavalas Family ! This is George Pappas.. My wife Sandy, Daughter Marina, and I visited you 10 years ago! We had a great time with you at the beach at our hotel, at your home, and at your winery. We enjoyed meeting you all.. it made our visit to Santorini very special. I also remember that Marina our daughter and Dimitra were sending some notes to each other after that. Sandy and I will be visiting Santorini again.. this time we will be staying at a hotel in Megalachori, so we will be able to visit you again ! Very small and intimate winery with amazingly friendly staff. Their white wines and vinsanto are really nice definitely worth trying. Must visit if you are in Santorini

Very enjoyable visit to a small family vineyard not far south of Chania. Opportunities for a tour and to taste and buy the excellent wines - a range of about 18 when we visited in 2015 (having not booked in advance).

Super professional and extraordinary good guides (Dimitris and Elena). Some good wines - Salto has amazing nose but acid and not so friendly taste (probably perfect for firs cup with a salad and/or sea food seasoned with lemon to balance it). Almira is balanced fruity-oak white. Eclectique is very high quality oaked white. Fleva Syrah is very good bodey/taste. Not the caracteristic Syrah with exploding nose and calm bodey - but a rather flat nose while nicely surprising oaked taste. Gran Cuvee is a balanced red. Both nice nose and tasteful with some presence of oak. Certainly above average. Megas Oenos - Surely not a bad wine but I did not feel anything very special. I likes the two reds above more. Nice place to see as well.
