Found this winery at a VA wine...
Found this winery at a VA wine festival and after sampling a couple meads, found them quite delicious. One I found particularly interesting was called Dragon's Breath, which was a mead with smoked hot peppers.
If you enjoy honey wine and the like then this winery is right up your alley.

If you love mead, this place is perfect. Their meads are all very good and their melomel varieties are unique.

I love their wines and the staff...
I love their wines and the staff is absolutely wonderful. I think my favorite is the Madison. When we attend the garlic and wine festival we skip all the tastings and just go straight to Hilltop for bottles to drink.

Awesome Wine and Meads has a huge variety and is a sweet wine drinkers dream come true ! Went in January and we are coming back in a week from VA Beach it was so good

Northern Virginia provides a plethora of wonderful...
Northern Virginia provides a plethora of wonderful wineries from the connoisseur to the novice. I have personally visited many of them and each offers something a bit different. I joined Hidden Brooks wine club about a year ago though and LOVE it. Lucky for me it is in my neighborhood! My current fave is their reserve cab. The service here is also top notch - they are knowledgeable and friendly. So happy to have this little gem just around the corner!

Absolutely loved the place. Very warm and welcoming staff. Cute and cozy log cabin setting. OUTSTANDING wines. Favorites were the Chardonnay, 2010 Cab Sauv and their brand new Chambourcin which the lady doing our tasting let us have a sneak peek of. Kudos to that! Even though some of the reviews here (5+ years old) say otherwise, Hidden Brook def knows what they're doing these days.

I liked this winery, but did not...
I liked this winery, but did not love it. They had live music outside, which was fun, but not a lot of seating near the music. Most of the whites were a little sweet for my taste. However, the chambourcin was really interesting.
The tasting room is a little sparse, but the staff were very nice and accommodating.
