No one greeted us when we walked up to the counter next to the sign that says

WINTER MONTHS HOURS ARE UNTIL 5:00PM. They will not serve you after 4:30 and will kick you out. Staff said they don't have parking lot lighting. We showed up at a little before 4:30 thinking they were open until 7:00. Driveway was washed out near the bottom but made it through ok. Manager comped us a few glasses of wine which was nice, considering. The new facility is beautiful, just needs some personality and window coverings added (sun is brutal at the end of the day). Seems like it will be a nice warm weather hang out if they end up serving any type of food. Staff still seeming to get their footing. Wine was hit or miss. Our group purchased 4 bottles and that came out to be $127. Overpriced for quality was our general consensus. There's potential, hope they work on it.

Knowledgeable staff in a beautiful setting We didn't know anything about Chester Gap when we decided to go there. We learned about the property and did a tasting. Great wines and great view. Would go back!

Great wine & learned a lot!

If you like Viognier, that seems to be their specialty with the whites and you'll love it. Regardless of your taste in wine though, this winery has one of the best views I've seen at a Virginia winery. Barrel Oak is a close second, but this view was unmarred by houses, etc. Just gorgeous views of the valley - will definitely be coming back for the foliage season.

My husband & I(& our 16yr old Chihuahua) stopped by here on our way home to NYC. What a pleasant surprise! The wines were wonderful. We usually do Sonoma/napa trips for wine tasting but this place was just as good as many wineries we visited in California. Definitely a must for people who enjoy good wine!!

Sweet little local vineyard. Jim was amazing, we had a great time hearing his stories! We loved the Steel Chardonnay, definitely one to check out!
