Mission Hill Winery is by far one...
Mission Hill Winery is by far one of the most elegant and refined wineries that the Okanagan has to offer. Many others will try to mimic the soul that Mission Hill embodies, but none will achieve the spirit. From the subtle elegance of the tasting and wine shop to the breathtaking view off the courtyard, Mission Hill astonishes. The attention to detail from the manicured hedges, dust free walkways, and properly uniformed employees is what sets Mission Hill apart from others.

The dinner music fit the setting perfectly...
The dinner music fit the setting perfectly and provided a subtle ambience. Our server, Ian, was very knowledgeable and a great personality for our friends who had kids. I had the wagyu beef carpaccio, shrimp linguine and pear tart for desert. Loved every course as well as the halibut I tasted from another dish. Would recommend the Terrace for anyone wanting a first class dining experience and a view that is second to none.

There is a flaw in Mission Hill...
There is a flaw in Mission Hill winery system, they keep calling my girlfriend to pay for our tour when we registered online with our visa debit card. There system accepted our visa debit card and we were reserved for a tour. When we got to Mission Hill, they told us our card wasn't accepted yet it went through to reserve our spot. Then the cashier asked for our card number. Took details of our card number and told us to go on with our tour, so we did. They said they'll take care of the rest. Two days later I'm at home and there calling me, harassing me for my card details. I told them I gave it to you over reservations online and in person when you took down my card details. How am I suppose to trust that this place isn't a scam? Calling me for my card number? Blaming me that it's my fault?! Well it's your fault for accepting visa debit cards on your reservation site, its your fault that you took down details of my card and telling me to go on with the tour. As a business you are at fault from the moment you let visa debit cards count as a way of reservations.

My wife and I have been all...
My wife and I have been all over the Okanagan doing wine tastings, accompanied by our dog. Most places either let her in, or have a nice shaded spot where one of us can sit while the other tastes the wines.
Not so at Mission Hill. Over 30°C, looking for some shade while my other half went wine tasting, but told dogs not allowed on the grounds at all. Only winery I have ever encountered with this rule.
Not going to leave the puppy to bake in the car, so left to go to somewhere more friendly.

Summary: I don't know wine but I...
Summary: I don't know wine but I left with a bottle I liked
I drive my wife around the wineries on the Naramata Bench every year. This year it wasn't in my father-in-law's red Miata because my bro-in-law was in town. So, we went in his Alberta-covered, cracked-windshield Jeep. Redeeming qualities: hardtop off, great stereo.
Anyways, we stopped at Moraine along the route. I loved the entrance and small deck patio with gorgeous views of the lake. The wine tasting room had a beautiful wood table with long benches and a large, open Italian kitchen feel. The fellow manning the place was very personable and my wife and her brother BS'd with him about North Vancouver where- as it turns out- they all grew up. After having to listen to them prove to each other that they lived there, we tasted 3 of their wines. I loved the rosé so I grabbed a bottle of that while my bro-in-law picked up 2 bottles of a red. Overall, great stop... and departure as we left with Rage Against the Machine cranked on the stereo and my wife shaking her head.

Nice quiet spot with large communal table for tasting. Great for meeting fellow tasters and enjoying the superb syrah here.

We went to a ton of wineries...
We went to a ton of wineries in Kelowna, and this one had the best wine out of all of them. I also really like how there is no tasting fee, instead they ask for you to make a donation to the food bank.
